About The Position

RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Quality Support Specialist to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together! As a Quality Support Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting organizational quality initiatives through the completion of quality audits, assistance with physician training initiatives, and coordination of key quality processes. The role provides support for Quality Council activities, Mammography quality processes and the preparation of monthly quality reporting deliverables. The Quality Support Specialist works closely with physicians, leadership and operational teams to ensure quality standards are met, and continuous improvement efforts are effectively supported across the organization. This is a 100% Full-Time position working the day shift.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent
  • Associate degree in a related, and applicable healthcare discipline
  • Two (2) years in a technical or support role in a Diagnostic Imaging setting.
  • Previous healthcare experience working directly with medical processes and operations
  • Some travel is required between sites; a reliable means of transportation is required.
  • Valid driver's license and proof of current insurance is required for the team member to personally drive a vehicle for company business (regardless of whether it's a company or personal vehicle)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in related healthcare discipline
  • Previous diagnostic imaging experience as well as customer service, and/or teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality-related audits to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities within operational workflows, ensuring work products delivered to radiologists meet established quality standards
  • Support closed loop quality process by serving as a liaison with physicians and clients, including follow up on addendum requests
  • Support Quality Council preparation and facilitation, including General and Mammography Quality Council meetings
  • Evaluate, refine and deliver monthly quality report deliverables, including client-facing reports and materials supporting Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE) / Focused Professional Practice Evaluation (FPPE) activities
  • Conduct monthly reconciliation of critical findings documentation to verify accurate and compliant physician-to-physician critical communications
  • Assist with identifying process and quality improvement opportunities and support implementation of quality improvement policies and procedures related to Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JACHO) compliance efforts
  • Provide system education and workflow training to new-hire Radiologists and Locum (temporary) Radiologists through remote learning and onsite training sessions.
  • Ensure excellent customer service is consistently provided to Physician staff during initial onboarding and conduct follow up touchpoints post onboarding.
  • Maintain a high level of Foundation Radiology Information System (RIS), Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and workflow knowledge to ensure proper and successful execution of training.
  • Assist with developing ongoing physician training curriculum for use during workflow or technology enhancements
  • Document, communicate, assist in the resolution of actionable customer feedback and questions, and requests made by Radiologist staff.
