About The Position

Job Summary Supervises employees, tasks, and duties involved in quality control activities to achieve optimum levels of quality and productivity while meeting operational deadlines. This role may also be considered as a working supervisor with limited managerial authority and an emphasis on day-to-day execution. Job Description Key Accountabilities: Monitor the performance of the quality control staff, ensuring that the quality control department meets organizational objectives. Teach, coach and demonstrate work activities for team members. Assign work, set daily priorities and ensure inspection / testing schedules are met. Monitor and evaluate current testing processes, making recommendations for improvement when necessary. Assist to coordinate internal and external audits of quality-related policies and processes. Participate, support and comply with all health, safety, quality and Lean initiatives and requirements. This is a position that works directly on the warehouse floor around heavy machinery. Requirements

  • College degree or certificate in a technical area or related field
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in an industrial, maintenance environment
  • Knowledge of quality management systems applicable to the business
  • Demonstrated ability to influence / motivate a team
  • Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Safety Mindset

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Previous related supervisory experience
