About The Position

Thule is looking for a Quality Intern to work in our Seymour, CT office. This is an in-office role. The Quality Intern will support the Quality team during the summer by assisting with documentation, audits, and quality investigations. This role provides hands-on experience in quality systems and process, including creating and updating work instructions, assisting with internal audits, supporting with testing requirements of Thule products, reviewing rejected or nonconforming materials and documenting findings and reports. The intern will gain exposure to quality standards while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Computer literate in MS Office (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook and PowerPoint).
  • Good oral and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with basic quality tools is a plus – calipers, pin gages, micrometers, visual inspection
  • Understanding of Blueprint reading, GD&T is a bonus

Responsibilities

  • Creating Work Instructions for spare parts in production and in Fabrication building-laser, tube bending, welding, saw cutting/drilling
  • Layered Process Audits in Production and Fabrication
  • Control Plan/ PFMEA/ Flow Chart review
  • Reviewing rejected material and assist in documentation
  • Assist in test lab with documentation and activities as needed
  • Under supervision, conduct inspections of finished goods to improve product design, function, and ensure they meet Thule Quality Standards.
  • Complete the proper documentation associated with this process.
