About The Position

The Process Improvement Engineer will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing standard workflows to improve production efficiency and quality. The primary focus of this role is the professionalization of our operations through the creation of robust Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and comprehensive Process Mapping. This individual will act as a bridge between leadership strategy and floor-level execution, ensuring that our growth is supported by scalable, documented systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 0-2 years in a manufacturing or production environment focusing on process optimization.
  • Proficiency in process mapping software (Visio, Miro, or similar) and advanced Microsoft Office skills.
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Total Quality Management (TQM) principles is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Process Mapping & Analysis
  • Conduct thorough "as-is" process observations to document current workflows across all departments.
  • Develop "to-be" process maps that eliminate bottlenecks, reduce waste, and improve throughput.
  • Utilize flowcharts and value stream mapping to visualize material and information flow.
  • SOP Development & Documentation
  • Author clear, concise, and highly visual Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all critical production and quality tasks.
  • Establish a centralized documentation control system to ensure all staff are using the most current versions of procedures.
  • Translate complex technical requirements into user-friendly work instructions for operators.
  • Implementation & Training
  • Partner with department leads to roll out new procedures on the production floor.
  • Develop training materials and conduct "train-the-trainer" sessions to ensure standardized adoption of new workflows.
  • Perform regular process audits to ensure compliance with established SOPs.
