About The Position

DEXTER INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW: Dexter Magnetic Technologies offers a rewarding and structured internship program where interns will work on industry projects setting them on an accelerated career path. The purpose of a Dexter internship is to provide students with the opportunity to gain “real life” business acumen within the Magnetics Industry. Gain hands-on product experience while working on challenging projects, networking with professionals, and learning from some of the brightest minds in business. WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT IN AN INTERNSHIP AT DEXTER? Dexter will provide weekly trainings that will be delivered by our experienced business leaders to improve your business acumen. Interns will also be provided with personal development training and feedback. Our internship program is diverse across functions and the group of interns will be regularly interacting. Each intern is partnered with an experienced peer as a mentor. Interns are included in company events and receive paid holidays. Our interns who perform well are considered for future internship opportunities as well as full-time employment after graduation. Our interns will be expected to work onsite at our manufacturing facility throughout the summer to collaborate with team members and peers. Interns in the Summer of 2026 will experience our high-tech facility in Elk Grove Technology Park. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES: Engage with manufacturing engineering to establish and sustain Statistical Process Control (SPC) systems. Establish Quality Control procedures and work instructions to improve processes Support Manufacturing Engineering and Quality Engineering for projects assigned Other responsibilities when shadowing a member of the Quality Engineering Team EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a bachelor’s degree in any engineering field and be an incoming Junior or Senior Fall 2026 Communication – Able to convey messages clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles. Must be able to interact and effectively communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization. Excellent time management skills: concentrating effort on priorities and overall planning, awareness, and response to upcoming and long-term deadlines. Requirements
