Thule is looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to work in our Seymour, CT office. This is an in-office role. The primary responsibilities of the Manufacturing Engineering Intern position will require supporting the Manufacturing Engineering team. Including creating and updating control documents, and defining appropriate inspection processes. This may include designing or modifying poke yoke features in fixtures or inspection gages. Requirements

  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field.
  • High level training and understanding in GD&T principles and blueprint reading.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling.
  • Strong background of Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing processes.

Nice To Haves

  • Solidworks preferred.
  • Completion of Engineering Mechanics: Statics Class

Responsibilities

  • Updating/creating production control documents.
  • Design fixtures and gages to address quality issues in production process.
  • Work with inter-departmental teams to trouble shoot and address production issues.
  • Review PFMEA and Control Plans of existing products.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to meet productivity goals.
