Quality & Patient Safety Specialist – Full Time – Days – Lower Manhattan In this role, you will provide quality and patient safety consulting, analysis, improvement facilitation and program administration services for assigned internal client groups within the Hospital. Develop, implement, and improve programs to establish and maintain Quality and Patient Safety standards of existing products and services, as well as develop programs to focus on the care provided to patients. Research, collect and analyze internal and external data for decision making. Serve as subject matter expert regarding client’s quality and patient safety initiatives, significant event management, and goals in alignment with the Hospital’s strategic priorities. This position is currently based out of NewYork-Presbyterian/Lower Manhattan with possible travel to any of our NYP sites. Travel may be more significant to NYP/Weill Cornell on the Upper East Side. It will be full-time Monday to Friday.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of experience in a healthcare related position, preferably in Quality and Performance Improvement
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
  • Excellent data analytics skills
  • All roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
  • NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in a related field
  • Clinical Licensure (RN, PA, NP, MD, Nurse Midwife, RD, PT/OT, or PharmD)
  • PMP or Six-Sigma/Lean
  • Minimum of 3 years of project management experience
