About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Supervisor / Team Lead to oversee sorting, inspection, and rework operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring all containment activities are executed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with quality standards and customer requirements. The Team Lead will coordinate daily operations, assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide hands-on support to ensure productivity and accuracy goals are met. This individual serves as the primary point of contact on the floor and plays a critical role in maintaining workflow, training employees, and driving overall team success.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred
  • 3+ years of supervisory or team lead experience preferred
  • Prior experience in manufacturing, automotive, or quality inspection environments preferred
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate instructions and expectations to team members
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Basic math skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing/industrial environment

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate inspection, sorting, and containment activities at assigned workstations
  • Assign tasks, monitor productivity, and ensure accuracy of completed work
  • Lead by example by maintaining organization, professionalism, and a clean work environment
  • Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures
  • Report accidents, incidents, or safety concerns immediately to management
  • Prepare workstations and materials prior to shift start to ensure operational readiness
  • Oversee end-of-shift responsibilities, including auditing paperwork and reviewing time records
  • Communicate effectively with incoming Team Leads to ensure smooth shift transitions
  • Ensure proper tools, materials, and documentation are available for all assigned jobs
  • Train employees on new work instructions and provide ongoing coaching and support
  • Maintain accountability for team performance and attendance
  • Provide feedback to management on employee performance and operational issues
  • Identify and report policy or procedure violations
  • Support and participate in all safety and continuous improvement initiatives
