About The Position

Oliver Inc. is looking for an experienced, and accurate Quality Monitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will work within the manufacturing plant and be responsible for monitoring product quality throughout the manufacturing folding-carton process, by applying the quality plan for each specific department (Press Room, Die Cutting, Folding Gluing, Bindery, Labels). About the Role: As our Quality Monitor , you will: Inspect incoming raw material, reviews setup and make-ready, conducts First Article inspections, in-process sampling, and final quality acceptance sampling. Perform quality tests, including, but not limited to, print characteristics, gloss, appearance, dimensions, thickness, product compatibility, scuff/scratch resistance, ink/varnish/foil adhesion, code verification, bond, opening force, closing and drop testing. Responsible for determining material/product disposition: accept, block, reject. Record quality information, enters data into system, and prepares product identification tags (load tags, quarantine tags, scrap authorization tickets, etc.) Prepare customer samples, color range books, final product samples, and defect panoplies, as required. Communicate results to appropriate departments: Manufacturing, Quality, Customer Service and/or Shipping.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• One to three year's experience of quality standards in the printing and folding carton industries.
• Ability to read, write and communicate with others in English.
• Working knowledge of quality tools and equipment.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers.
• Ability to deal with standard situations with occasional changes and to apply common sense to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
• Corrected 20-20 vision and the ability to distinguish colors and other printing and folding carton non-conformances.
