JOB DESCRIPTION Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Manage the metrology area using high-precision computerized three-coordinate equipment and perform tests or trials on materials according to customer requirements to ensure compliance with company objectives. Ensure measurement accuracy by: Maintaining equipment in good condition and calibrated Developing reliable calibration methods Conducting Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and capability studies Operate high-precision measurement equipment to test materials and parts in compliance with customer requirements. Analyze drawings, including interpreting GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and identify functional characteristics of parts. Report any dimensional or functional deviations and apply acceptance criteria for measured parts and samples. Make calibration-based decisions regarding measurement equipment and track deviations in product evaluations and related budgets. Support continuous improvement initiatives within the metrology area. Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS): Report conditions that could affect employees, assets, the environment, or the public. Participate in preventive and proactive EHS activities and training. Follow all EHS management system requirements and emergency procedures, including drills and work instructions. Report accidents, occupational illnesses, and emergencies promptly. Qualifications: 6 months to 1 year of experience or equivalent exposure to metrology in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of GD&T and ability to interpret engineering drawings accurately. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Basic knowledge of measurement systems, calibration methods, and quality standards. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
