We aim for being the first to do the right thing at the right time.   Join the home for entrepreneurs!    Körber Technologies, Inc., a leading Sales and Service company supporting the North American tobacco industry, is currently seeking a Quality Inspector who will be responsible for inspecting machined parts and assemblies, both purchased and manufactured in‑house, to ensure full compliance with all quality standards. This role plays a key part in supporting purchasing, engineering, and on‑time delivery objectives while contributing to overall manufacturing performance and efficiency.   The position requires demonstrated experience with SAP, as well as a solid understanding of quality processes, inspection tools and equipment, ISO 9001 requirements, and calibration procedures, all within a safe manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in CMM operation and programming
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and blueprints, along with basic computer skills including familiarity with quality management software and data entry
  • Proficiency with SAP, Microsoft Excel, and reporting tools
  • You have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Thorough knowledge of the metric system and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Ability to lift, move, and position components up to 40 lbs. for visual and dimensional inspection, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to visually inspect parts and equipment using standard tools to identify defects and irregularities, including performing detailed inspections for extended periods as required

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications in ASQ Quality Inspection and ISO 9001 (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • You will interpret technical drawings, engineering specifications, and manufacturing blueprints
  • Perform inspections of incoming materials to verify compliance with specifications through visual checks and measurement testing
  • Conduct in‑process inspections of machined components, sheet metal parts, and welded assemblies to ensure conformance with drawings and process requirements
  • Approve or reject finished goods based on specification compliance; coordinate and verify rework activities when necessary
  • You will document all inspection results in accordance with internal procedures and ensure quality data is entered into designated systems accurately and on time
  • Maintain, calibrate, and monitor quality and measurement equipment to ensure reliable performance
  • Support quality and continuous improvement initiatives by completing assignments aligned with department and business unit goals
  • Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and operational procedures at all times
