Title: Quality Inspector Position Type: Full-Time/Non-Exempt Position Purpose: As a Quality Inspector II you will be responsible for inspecting electrical wiring harnesses, circuit boards, machine parts and mechanical assemblies used in Tendeg deployable antennas, ground support equipment, test equipment, and/or internal development tools. They work closely with engineers and other technicians to ensure that electrical and mechanical systems function efficiently and reliably, and document non-conformances when they occur.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical education or certification in aerospace technology, quality control, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent observational skills.
  • Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments and basic hand tools.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and inspection techniques.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined by 22 CFR 120.62.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with GD&T, Zeiss CMM, FaroArm, Leica and Micro vu preferred.
  • IPC-620, IPC-610 and J-STD 001 certifications are preferred but not necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Complies with established job safety practices, policies and procedures as specified in plant and corporate directives for the safe performance of the work assignment.
  • Advises production when inspection results do not meet customer specifications and create non-conformance reports.
  • Performs record keeping duties as required under the direction of the QA Manager.
  • Initiates, reviews, and follows all standard operating procedures (SOPs) for area of responsibility.
  • Conduct detailed inspections of aerospace components, structures, systems, and material certifications according to established standards and procedures.
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and precision measurement equipment.
  • Verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Document inspection results accurately and thoroughly, including any deviations or non-conformities.
  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and other team members to document and resolve quality issues.
  • Participate in the development and improvement of inspection processes and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment and ensure proper handling and storage of inspected components.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the division, the group, and the company.
  • Complies with environmental regulations when using, dispensing, or handling hazardous and non-hazardous materials and wastes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
