The Quality Improvement Specialist II provides support services to PACE centers and staff in areas such as root cause analysis and process improvement techniques. This role involves collaborating with corporate operations staff to define and enhance existing processes, aiming to improve PACE site efficiencies and patient outcomes. The specialist is responsible for the administrative and quality management, including planning, development, implementation, and evaluation/assessment of clinical care services/programs. Key tasks include reviewing and analyzing medical records data related to quality care issues and coordinating with PACE sites to sustain improvements in quality measures and service outcomes. These efforts must meet the regulatory demands set by the California Department of Healthcare Services (DHCS), Centers for Medicaid Services (CMS), and other programs. The position also involves coordinating with internal and external customers to meet deliverables throughout the year. Requirements

  • Geriatric experience as required by CMS PACE regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree prepared in Nursing, Social Work, and Healthcare Management
  • Licensed as an RN in the State of California
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in process improvement and/or other quality management/improvement-related experience
  • Advanced certification or licensure in health care or process improvement (Lean or Six Sigma, IHI)
  • Prior experience a minimum of one year with an Electronic Health/Medical System (E.H.R/E.M.R)
  • Experience with NextGen Electronic Health/Medical System
