About The Position

The Quality Improvement Analyst II (QIA II) will serve as an intermediate-level analyst supporting the development and administration of a health system-wide quality and operational analytics. The work will maintain a focus on, but will not be limited to, patient experience and regulatory initiatives, such as Magnet or CMS requirements. Works close and direct supervision to produce intermediate-level analysis, analytics, reports, dashboards, and other resources in support of Health System Quality & Operational Excellence Department's goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in healthcare, computer science, nursing, or mathematics
  • 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Equivalent years of work experience may substitute for educational requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and automate clinical quality and performance metrics. Maintain knowledge base of data requirements and measure definitions.
  • Serve as a content expert for clinical quality measures by keeping current with national healthcare quality program guidelines.
  • Implements analytic approaches and technical methodology under supervision; executes work plan tasks as assigned.
  • Uses judgement to distinguish relevant from irrelevant information.
  • Uses factual data to produce and deliver credible and understandable reports.
  • Participate on multi-disciplinary teams and provide comprehensive analytical support for clinical performance improvement initiatives.
  • Extract, validate and summarize data from different large databases using data management and querying skills.
  • Analyze and organize data using appropriate analytical and statistical methods to efficiently track clinical processes and outcomes.
  • Assist in the interpretation of data to identify opportunities for improved healthcare delivery.
  • Participate in special projects as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
