Support Quality Department personnel by processing quality department documentation, updating and maintaining data, gauge calibration, and conducting studies and testing as requested. Support all Quality goals especially scrap reduction efforts. A Quality Technician is responsible for establishing requirements which meet the plants monitoring, inspection, and propose measures to correct or improve a company's final products and processes to meet established quality standards. Their duties include preparing and implementing quality assurance gauge calibration, policies and procedures and perform routine inspections and quality tests. They identify and resolve workflow and production issues and ensure that standards and safety regulations at the company are observed. You will investigate and create corrective and preventive actions, including root cause analysis, failure mode and effects analysis and control of nonconforming material. You will coordinate and ensure compliance with relevant quality standards, such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and other industry standards. You will perform audits of processes and systems to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to quality standards. Maintain accurate records of compliance activities, audit findings, and corrective actions taken. Must be capable of using and programing various measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, vision system and CMM. Help with training of Quality employees (and others, if needed) Other duties as assigned by supervisor
