About The Position

You will be the Quality Engineer for the Quality Engineering team. Our team is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of product quality across missile and launch‑vehicle hardware. What You Will Be Doing As the Quality Engineer you will be responsible for driving quality initiatives, overseeing material compliance, and partnering with cross‑functional teams to resolve technical challenges. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Plan, organize, and report on quality activities for raw and packaging materials. Control non‑conforming items, conduct root‑cause analyses, and monitor corrective actions. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and customers to maintain quality standards. Provide input for purchase‑order requirements and ensure compliance with specifications. Stay current on industry best practices and apply innovative solutions to technical problems. Requirements

  • STEM degree at Bachelor's level or higher.
  • Have knowledge of quality systems, demonstrated use of standard problem solving, troubleshooting tools and root cause analysis skills.
  • Ability to perform floor support functions and make appropriate quality decisions.
  • Good communications and presentation skills.
  • Well versed in GD&T, interpreting drawings and standards.
  • MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN
  • The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Manufacturing and process improvement experience.
  • Defense or military contractor experience.
  • Working knowledge of GD&T, FMEAs, and Root Cause and Corrective Action Processes.
  • Experience in Six-Sigma green belt techniques and statistical process control methods.
