Job Description The Quality Engineer is responsible for supporting, developing, and improving Teledyne DGO’s quality systems, processes, and controls to ensure products meet customer, regulatory, and industry standards. This role collaborates with cross‑functional teams to drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement activities throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001 and AS9100 (preferred).
  • Experience with root cause analysis tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone, Fault Tree, or similar methods.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using statistical tools or software.
  • Ability to lead teams and collaborate across departments to resolve quality issues.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain the company’s quality management system (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001 and customer requirements.
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) activities for internal and external non‑conformances.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements to ensure proper implementation in manufacturing.
  • Develop and improve inspection plans, control plans, and testing procedures.
  • Analyze data from inspection, testing, and production records to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Support supplier quality activities, including reviewing incoming materials and resolving supplier-related non‑conformances.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, preparing documentation and supporting audit findings.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Purchasing to address quality issues and drive process improvements.
  • Assist in developing training materials and educating employees on quality standards and best practices.
