About The Position

Based in Fairview, OR, the Quality Engineer supports and actively contributes to maintain and improve defined quality level of products/processes in accordance with legal requirements, AGC standard/specifications and customer requirements.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Engineering or related engineering discipline or equivalent experience
  • Three plus years working with lean manufacturing, (Kaizen, 5S etc.).
  • Three plus years’ experience working with machine shop and stainless-steel welding, preferred.
  • Experience with preferably Solidworks and/or Autocad.
  • Experience with MS Office suite
  • Able to create and adhere to a project plan or timeline.
  • Able to make effective presentations to peer groups and management within the department/factory and demonstrate the ability to tailor presentation to the audience.
  • Strong problem solving, analysis, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communicator at all levels.
  • Ability to lead, coach, and train team members.
  • Cooperates and works well with others in pursuit of team goals.
  • Goal oriented driving to positive results.

Nice To Haves

  • Three plus years’ experience working with machine shop and stainless-steel welding, preferred.
  • Experience with preferably Solidworks and/or Autocad.

Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in continuous safety and production improvement efforts.
  • Handle quality aspects directly related to manufacturing processes/products.
  • Participate/conduct suppliers’ audit as related to quality requirements.
  • Control quality related Nonconformity/observations/comments through established “Red Tag” Process.
  • Handle quality improvement projects/activities.
  • Participate in projects/activities to launch new products/modify existing ones.
  • Manage claim analysis and relative resolution process.
  • Manage validation of finished products and components.
  • Support line management in their quality accountability.
  • Support to guarantee customer requirements are completely fulfilled.
  • Support to promote and manage continuous improvement projects/activities in Quality area, in alignment with the AGC Quality Strategy.
  • Other specifically assigned tasks where needed by the Company
