About The Position

The Quality Engineer Intern will support the Quality Department in ensuring incoming materials and manufactured products meet company and customer quality standards. This role is hands‑on and learning‑focused, with primary responsibilities including certification of incoming materials, day‑to‑day quality support activities, and participation in special quality improvement projects.

Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled in a four-year college or university program related to Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • Must be eligible to work on programs subject to ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations)

Responsibilities

  • Assist in inspecting and certifying incoming raw materials, components, and supplier documentation.
  • Review Certificates of Analysis (COA), Certificates of Conformance (C of C), and other quality records for accuracy and compliance.
  • Verify material specifications against purchase orders, drawings, and quality requirements.
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records within the ERP or quality management system.
  • Help develop or update work instructions, inspection plans, and quality procedures.
  • Support Quality Engineers w/ daily quality activities; including inspections, audits, and data collection.
  • Assist w/ nonconformance documentation, corrective actions, and root-cause investigations.
  • Help maintain calibration records, inspection logs, and controlled documents.
  • Participate in internal quality reviews and cross‑functional meetings as needed.
  • Support special quality projects such as process improvement initiatives, supplier quality evaluations, or documentation updates.
  • Perform all reasonably related duties as assigned.
