About The Position

Intrepid Direct is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Software Quality Engineer II who is passionate about automation and eager to drive quality initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving complex problems, and is excited to elevate our testing strategy through innovation and ownership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
  • 2-5 years of software development or testing experience with multi-tiered applications.
  • Strong understanding of QA principles and testing strategies.
  • Experience in test case management and E2E testing.
  • Experience with UI testing using Cypress or Playwright.
  • Experience with API testing using Postman or similar tools.
  • Experience with Git (or similar version control system).
  • Experience working with Atlassian suite (Jira and BitBucket).
  • Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Locust, or similar).
  • Familiarity with security testing practices and tools (e.g., OWASP, Burp Suite, or similar).

Responsibilities

  • Convert manual test cases into automated tests using Playwright.
  • Own and maintain automated smoke and regression test suites.
  • Participate in refinement and planning meetings to assess upcoming changes and their impact on test coverage.
  • Design and develop holistic test cases aligned with feature development.
  • Create and maintain integration test scripts for new and existing features.
  • Independently execute testing tasks with minimal guidance.
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues across the Intrepid ecosystem using both automated and manual testing methods.
  • Follow and improve existing QA processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Document and communicate defects clearly and concisely.
  • Escalate blockers and risks in a timely manner.
  • Conduct peer reviews of test cases and scripts.
  • Mentor team members on automation best practices.
