This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. You will report directly to the Quality Engineering Manager. As part of a hardworking team of Quality Engineers, you will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of developing, testing and launching Space systems to support Blue Origin’s Vision. We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and dedication to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Special Mentions: Relocation provided Shifts available: Monday-Thursday 4:00PM-2:30AM Interviews will include a technical assessment This position will require shift flexibility to align with changes in business need.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a B.S. in Engineering/Science
  • 3+ years’ proven experience in a Quality Engineer role in a production environment.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9000 QM System and/or related quality systems and programs
  • Ability to support manufacturing schedules and overtime on as needed basis

Nice To Haves

  • American Society of Quality Certified Quality Engineer certification
  • Experience in Aerospace, space launch, military/commercial aviation highly preferred
  • Experience with non-conformance record management and Material Review Board (MRB) processing
  • Experience with IPC J-STD-001 (Space Addendum)
  • Experience with IPC 620 standard (IPC-WHMA-A-620)
  • Experience in GD&T fundamentals
  • Experience with quality tools such as Lean principles, Six Sigma, root cause analysis and corrective action (RCCA)
  • Experience with advanced product quality planning (APQP), process failure mode and effects analysis (PFMEA), control plans, and various problem solving approaches
  • Experience with processing First Article Inspections (FAI)
  • Quality Management System audit experience
  • Quality performance measurement analysis capabilities
  • Six Sigma Green, Black Belt, or comparable certification
