DESCRIPTION APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Develop tolerance model of systems for failure analysis. Analyze system cycle time chart for optimization. Perform design for manufacturing review and approvals of optical / mechanical systems. Evaluate design concept for scale, efficiency, robustness, uptime and other key criteria. Develop inspection equipment that determines if a product meets Apple’s high standards across all the mechanical portion of hardware that is made - iPhone, Mac, iPad, Watch and others. Work on system layout, architecture, and cycle time optimization for optical, motion and mechanical systems. Deep dive into databases and work with optics improvements to see defects consistently to drive inspection and ML advancements. Work with 2D/3D triangulation laser system and CCD inspection system such as Halcon, Keyence, Cognex, and/or Visco. 25% of International or Domestic Travel required. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $128,400.00 - $193,800.00/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
