About The Position

The Quality Engineer II will provide Process/Quality Engineering support to manufacturing, helping to ensure delivery of highest quality product to the customer. Provide Process/Quality Engineering support to product development teams, helping to ensure development of highest quality new products. At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows an onsite work model requiring employees to be in our local office five days per week. Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline
  • 2+ years of experience in an operations setting, quality, or related medical device experience
  • Knowledgeable in Quality System Regulations, Medical Device Regulation, and ISO 13485 Quality Standards

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or experience working with electronic components/ PCBAs
  • Demonstrated use of Quality tools/methodologies
  • Ability to collaborate and influence across multiple, cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Hands-on approach to product nonconformance investigations/ troubleshooting.
  • Comfort with self-directed work in addition to collaboration in a team environment
  • Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI)
  • Experience leading investigation and resolution of highly complex problems.

Responsibilities

  • Partners with Manufacturing Engineering and Production core team members for daily manufacturing line support decisions and practices.
  • Identifies and implements effective process control systems to meet or exceed internal, external, and regulatory requirements.
  • Applies sound, systematic problem-solving methodologies in identifying, prioritizing, communicating, and resolving quality issues.
  • Proactively investigates, identifies, and implements best-in-class Quality Engineering practices.
  • Collects and analyzes process defect data for product/process improvement efforts (e.g. scrap, nonconforming product, customer complaints) by systematically gathering quality metric data and performing the appropriate analysis method(s) to enhance sustaining product design.
  • Supports a culture of continuous improvement by advancing improvements to existing processes and controls.
  • Provide task direction, coaching, and mentorship for technician team members.
