Quality Engineer 3
About The Position
This role is for a Quality Engineer 3, primarily focused on Supplier Related Quality Engineering. The individual will be responsible for maintaining the quality of outsourced mechanical parts according to Denso quality standards. Key duties include monitoring, developing, and managing supplier systems, as well as supporting problem investigations both internally and at supplier sites. The engineer will provide engineering support to Inspection Departments and collaborate with supplier and internal cross-functional groups to drive overall quality improvement activities. Responsibilities also involve developing detailed test plans to evaluate change-points in supplied parts, understanding, documenting, and improving supplier processes, and assisting in judging parts against established visual/functional standards. The role requires learning supplier processes to troubleshoot defects/suspect parts at Denso, recognizing quality trends, and maintaining open communication with worldwide suppliers for accurate and prompt resolution of quality issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related degree or equivalent Quality experience would be considered
- Strong communication skills (both verbal & written)
- 5+ years engineering experience, or co-op equivalent in manufacturing, quality, or related field
- Skilled in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to travel as needed (up to 10-20%)

- Familiar with Automotive Industry Quality Systems & Requirements including TS16949 and IATF
- Other useful process knowledge/experience considered: Al/Zn Die Casting, Machining, Forging, Metal Stamping, Plastic Injection Molding, Printing, Plating, E-Coating, and/or Anodizing process knowledge
