About The Position

We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to be based remotely out of Canada. This position not only offers you the opportunity to utilize and expand your background in engineering by providing technical support in a professional services environment while also providing a clear path for professional growth. In this role, you will be expected to be able to participate in and eventually lead and host quality assurance audits while also working with project teams on such diverse activities as problem identification and resolution, support during the procurement of engineered products and materials, and self-assessment activities. You will also assist project teams with the development and execution of project quality plans. Other duties of the position may include assisting the Quality Assurance Manager in tasks including training employees, controlling purchased items and services, verification of effective corrective action, data analysis and trending, and root cause analysis. The focus of these activities is engineering, design and consulting activities. The position may involve approximately 10-15% travel to other company locations and related supplier facilities for audit, surveillance, and/or inspection.

Requirements

  • We do not sponsor employees for work authorization in Canada for this position.
  • This position may require access to U.S. export-controlled information. As such, candidates must be a citizen of a country listed in Appendix A to Part 810 of the Code of Federal Regulations.
  • BS or MS from a Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board-accredited undergraduate program or a US based ABET-accredited program or related academic experience.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical reasoning.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in quality in the nuclear industry or in another regulated industry.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of CSA, NQA, and ISO standards.
  • NQA-1 Audit Team Leader Certification.
  • Previous Quality Assurance Manager experience.
  • P.Eng license.

Responsibilities
