Summary: Test and inspect products at various stages of production process and compile and evaluate statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products by monitoring, recording, auditing, and verifying adherence to the same.

Requirements

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and quality instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and written.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios.
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
One to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Responsibilities

Contribute to the maintenance of the overall quality system, ensuring compliance with applicable ISO standards, FDA QSR’s, and any other applicable laws and regulations.
Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confer with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
Select products for tests at specified stages in production process, and test products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical, or chemical characteristics.
Record test data, applying statistical quality control procedures.
Evaluate data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
Set up and perform destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products, to measure performance life, or material characteristics.
Prepare graphs or charts of data or enter data into computer for analysis.
Operate personal computer using word processing, database, statistical, and spreadsheet software.
Ensure the integrity of all traceable information from incoming materials through outgoing finished products and components.
Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
