PURPOSE Coordinates Quality Control Inspector daily requirements; Assists in implementing all aspects of quality assurance efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Quality Manager with maintaining current and accurate records of all relevant communications, audits, corrective action plans, and effectiveness monitoring
  • Ensures customer and supplier quality communication and request data is: a. collected and maintained, b. tracks information requests, c. facilitates generation of customer and supplier 8D reports based on investigation of non-conformance,
  • Conducts investigations regarding critical and unusual incidents as directed by QA Manager to facilitate issue resolution
  • Interprets and implements quality assurance standards as directed by QA Manager to facilitate ISO 9001/AS9100/AS9102 FAI compliance
  • Assist the QA Manager with the reviews of quality assurance standards, existing policies and procedures: a. Conduct internal audits and interviews of personnel to evaluate effectiveness of QMS b. Assists departments with the coordination of audit information, and recommends mechanisms, procedures, and/or process updates c. Audits complete quality control forms for accuracy, completeness to ensure that quality assurance standards are met by the quality control team
  • Assist QA Manager in ensuring: a. quality assurance policies and procedures are documented, assisting with updating records, forms, and procedures b. corrective action recommendations and plans are implemented or revised as necessary, assist with writing, implementing, and enforcing corrective action plans
  • Data collection, data recording, runs queries and prepares reports as requested. Provides reports to QA Manager as requested to enable progress of internal performance indicator goals
  • Overseas and maintains the following and the related responsibilities: a. ECO/ACN review, correction, and approval, b. non-conforming material and Return Material Authorization (RMA) processing, c. data collection and reporting d. issue RMA’s
  • Assist the QA Manager in training staff in operational quality procedures, data collection, understanding quality control, and how to implement corrective actions
  • Reviews, tracks and communicates information regarding process variations and quality control samples as required by quality assurance procedures
  • Other duties as assigned
