About The Position

Kent Precision Foods Group, a member of the KENT WORLDWIDE family of companies, has a fantastic opportunity to join their team as a Quality Control Manager. The Quality Control Manager oversees daily food safety and quality operations at the Columbus, MS, facility and local warehouses, including supervision of QC staff, on-site auditors, and service vendors. Collaborates with the Sr. QA Manager on targeted quality concerns. This position is designed and intended to be performed in Columbus, MS. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinates QC activities across departments and with Operations for training on QC, Process, and Food Safety. Oversees batch record review and release to ensure compliance with SOPs and specifications. Leads internal QC investigations.

  • 4 Year Degree in Science area or 7 + years of relevant work experience.
  • 2 years of experience in a QC role with demonstrated laboratory skills.
  • Experience leading GFSI scheme certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Higher level degree preferred.
  • Work experience in food and beverage manufacturing with a focus on Quality and Development.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares monthly reports on non-conformances and food safety performance.
  • Serves as site lead for facility audits, inspections, and recall test actions.
  • Evaluates and supports Food Safety systems, including Maintenance and Sanitation.
  • Investigates customer complaints and reports findings to QA Leadership.
  • Manages Food Safety documentation per QA leaderships direction.
  • Provides input on QC department budgeting and cost control.
  • Contributes to site-wide continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develops and reviews testing protocols to ensure compliance.
  • Maintains audit protocols for production line checks.
  • Conducts GMP audits with QA Management to ensure regulatory compliance.
