About The Position

At Crusoe, we move fast and we build things. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Quality Control Lead, Repair & Analytics to join our manufacturing team in Tulsa. This pivotal role within the Quality Department demands a unique blend of high-level electrical technical expertise, specifically with switchgear, and a strong capability in data-driven process optimization. The position is responsible for ensuring the technical quality and compliance of circuit breakers while simultaneously leading the department's continuous improvement initiatives through data analytics. You will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and lead a team dedicated to maintaining Crusoe’s high standards of operational excellence. This is a full-time position. (#INDMFG)

Requirements

  • Electrical Technical Expertise: High-level technical knowledge specifically related to switchgear and circuit breaker mechanics and programming.
  • Data-Driven Leadership: Strong capability in data analytics and the ability to use specialized data tools to drive process optimization.
  • Quality Management Proficiency: Demonstrated experience in Root Cause Analysis (RCA), CAPA processes, and defect management workflows.
  • Supervisory Experience: Proven ability to lead and oversee technical teams, including technicians and coordinators, in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Ability to act as a primary liaison with external vendors and partner effectively with internal production leadership.
  • Organizational Excellence: Highly organized with extreme attention to detail regarding technical compliance and documentation.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced certifications in Data Analytics or Quality Management (e.g., Six Sigma).
  • Extensive experience with Google Drive for enterprise documentation and record-keeping.
  • Prior experience in a "move fast" manufacturing environment with a focus on scalable infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Switchgear & Breaker Lifecycle Management: Serve as the SME for complex switchboard failures and troubleshooting during Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT). Oversee the Quality Control Technician team responsible for the inspection, mechanical testing, programming, repair, and documentation of circuit breakers.
  • Component Compliance: Ensure all breakers are programmed to meet project-specific protection settings before installation on the production floor.
  • Vendor Liaison & RMA Management: Manage the RMA Breaker Inventory, acting as the primary liaison with vendors to coordinate timely returns, replacements, and warranty repairs.
  • Quality Infrastructure & Process Coordination: Bridge the gap between Quality process design and effective shop-floor execution. Help develop, implement, and maintain standard work and control checks for switchgear assemblies.
  • Defect Management & Resolution: Establish and manage robust workflows, including leading the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective/Preventative Action (CAPA) processes.
  • Logistics & Personnel Supervision: Oversee the team responsible for Kirk Key installation and the material handling logistics for moving switchboards through the QA department. Supervise the Quality Coordinator responsible for daily documentation input into Google Drive.
  • Data Analytics & Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to identify trending defects and drive production improvements. Track and analyze every production defect using specialized data tools.
  • Performance Reporting & Predictive Analysis: Generate and distribute reports detailing root causes and recommended training for production leadership. Utilize historical data to perform Predictive Analysis, forecasting potential quality risks in future production cycles.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Partner daily with Production leadership, utilizing collected data to inform and improve manufacturing processes.
