About The Position

The Quality Control Inspector (QCI) is responsible for ensuring the product quality of all incoming and outgoing pre-assembled and assembled units. The QCI will be a firm advocate for meeting top quality standards in the company. The ideal candidate will possess a trained eye for detail and will be reliable and committed to the mission. Knowledge and comprehension of quality standards is essential. The goal is to ensure that our products are made of flawless materials with well-functioning equipment that meet the high standards of our customers.

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience in Quality Control Inspection
  • Demonstrated regular and consistent attendance to fulfill work responsibilities
  • Mastery of common measuring/inspection tools such as but not limited to calipers, various gauges, precision measuring instruments, etc.
  • Ability to perform tasks in various environments, indoor and outdoor, hot and cold conditions
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and the ability to implement and enforce safety procedures.
  • Ability to maintain detailed records of testing, product information and various metrics
  • Working knowledge of blueprints
  • Ability to train production teams on quality control measures to improve product excellence

Responsibilities

  • Read blueprints and instructions to comprehend the quality expectations for the product and supplies.
  • Approve or reject raw materials with respect to quality standards and record supplier performance.
  • Perform quality tests, such as film thickness measurements and adhesion tests.
  • Select output samples and check them using appropriate methods (measuring dimensions, testing functionality, comparing to specifications, etc.).
  • Prepare and submit reports to the appropriate Production Planner or Production Manager.
  • Support the company emphasis on teamwork and cooperation to achieve our goals by performing other duties as assigned including working in other departments from time to time and helping with periodic clean-up issues.
  • Generate improvement ideas and embrace improvement projects to better the business.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of the Quality Management System by monitoring equipment for quality
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Quality Management System thorough visual inspections of coated parts, checking for defects like color variation, uneven coating, and adherence problems.
