About The Position

Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining technical quality assurance and control systems. Duties may include: - defining and specifying the implementation of standards, methods, and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision, accuracy, and reliability of client and/or company products. - performing documentation reviews - performing audits of activities and work products - conducting First Article Inspections - monitor Site Activation Installation Teams at sites during Fit-up and HW Installations - participation in Configuration Control Boards, Test Readiness Reviews, Pre-Test and Post-Test Briefings. - performance of metric analysis to identify trend and improvement on organizational processes - maintenance of QA Records and other tasks as directed by the Quality Assurance Team - provide Test Assurance including test configuration management - complete receiving inspections, hardware equipment installation inspections, cable label and port connection verification, hardware configuration and inventory verification - engineering change, software, and SIG/PRED peer reviews and inspections - support weekly/monthly working group meetings, Opportunities for Improvement (OFI), Corrective Action Requests (CAR), Effectiveness Reviews, and interface with FAA QRO BEFORE STARTING, MUST BE WILLING TO ENDURE 2+ MONTHS OF TIME TO ALLOW COMPLETION OF FAA BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION Applicants will be subject to a background investigation. Must be a US citizen or 3-year permanent resident. The company is not able to sponsor applicants at this time. At a minimum, the following skill/experience level: - Approximately 8-12 years of complete software development lifecycle, hardware, testing and quality assurance experience Travel required: - Must be willing and able to travel > 50% of the time Additionally, the following skills(s) experiences are preferred: - FAA Air Traffic Domain Knowledge - Air Traffic Management / Control software development - Knowledgeable of AS9100 and CMMI requirements - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools
