About The Position

Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS) a non-profit organization, was founded in 1943 and has grown to be the largest provider of licensed outpatient community mental health services and one of the largest human service agencies in Westchester County. We provide state-of-the-art programs and services and compassionate care to more than 20,000 people of all ages and backgrounds throughout Westchester. We are seeking a Quality Assurance & Training Coordinator to join our Community Programs QA team! In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the quality, compliance, and continuous improvement of services within the CP division. As a member of the QA team, you will oversee quality assurance processes, conduct investigations, and provide training to CP staff, ensuring adherence to OPWDD, DOH, and agency regulations. The salary range for this full-time position is $80,000-$90,000.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Experience working within the OPWDD service system
  • Completion of OPWDD and Justice Center Basic Investigations Training
  • Experience in creating and facilitating training for individuals and groups
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
  • Excellent critical thinking skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Excellent knowledge of OPWDD, DOH regulations
  • Valid New York State driver's license and vehicle
  • Experience in quality assurance, compliance, training, or a related field within OPWDD, DOH, or human services programs
  • Strong knowledge of incident management, regulatory standards, and investigation processes
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments to maintain compliance and drive continuous improvement

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for conducting investigations.
  • Review investigations conducted by other team members as assigned.
  • Provide on-call support for incident reporting and investigations.
  • Maintain records related to incidents and ensure timely reporting in IRMA and WISR.
  • Serve as a liaison with OPWDD Incident Management Unit and the Justice Center.
  • Develop Annual Trend Reports for OPWDD and DOH, as well as the division’s Annual Quality Improvement Plan.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the Human Rights and Incident Review Committee meetings.
  • Ensure programs/services are in compliance with all regulations.
  • Provide OPWDD training to staff as needed.
  • Write, update, and maintain policies and procedures to align with regulatory requirements and operational efficiency.
  • Develop system protocols to improve quality and efficiency within the division.
