POSITION OVERVIEW We are seeking a highly skilled Linux System Engineer with a background in Quality Assurance (QA), particularly in virtualized environments using Hyper-V. In this role, you will focus on building and managing Linux-based virtual environments for testing purposes, automating QA processes, and ensuring efficient system performance. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing Hyper-V infrastructure and developing automation solutions to support our testing and development cycles. The Quality Assurance Tester will be responsible for, but not limited to:

Requirements

  • Experience with Hyper-V virtualization platform and managing virtualized Linux environments.
  • Expertise in scripting languages such as Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Strong proficiency in Linux/Unix systems (CentOS, Ubuntu, Red Hat, etc.).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and configure Linux-based virtual environments within Hyper-V for QA testing purposes.
  • Build and automate tools that streamline QA processes and support efficient software development lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain test environments, ensuring that they replicate real-world scenarios and are stable for testing.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the Linux environment, applications, and performance in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Create and manage scripts to automate manual testing tasks and monitoring.
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Collaborate with QA teams to design, implement, and maintain test environments that simulate production systems.
  • Learn the ThreatLocker products, features, and use cases.
  • Proficiency in configuring and using ThreatLocker products.
  • Stay updated on product updates and actively participate in training.
