About The Position

The Quality Assurance (QA) tester works with the development team to produce innovative and one of a kind immersive experiences. You will be responsible for assisting developers and engineers in documenting, testing, and organizing software bugs, hardware errors, and any relevant information that would impact a user experience upon release.

Requirements

  • Ability to work on-site at our Mount Dora, FL studio, with flexibility for frequent domestic travel to client locations as required.
  • At least 6 months experience as a Quality Assurance position within the video/mobile games industry
  • Experienced working on multi-platforms
  • Extensive knowledge of bug databases and the workflow of a bug
  • Written QA reports in a professional manor for QA Leads or senior management e.g. after test plan completion
  • Used Excel & Google docs to write up test criteria to form test plans
  • Awareness of the development cycle and key milestones
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely is required to sit; walk; talk and hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, crawl, reach, and stretch.
  • The employee is occasionally required to move around the office.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Work effectively in completing assigned QA tasks; test plan completion, provide feedback on features, investigative tasks, live-ops checks, ad hoc testing on new features in trying to break them!
  • Ensure that all bugs are recorded in an efficient, complete and informative manner, either on the Scrum board or bug database
  • Respond to development team’s request in line with the project e.g. providing more information for bugs, balancing, build installation, validating bugs
  • Respond to support tickets internally in reproducing them and updating them with information for the dev team to fix.
