About The Position

In this role, you will support quality assurance across Worldpac’s core automotive wholesale distribution systems, including procurement, distribution, inventory, warehouse, and supply chain platforms. With a primary focus on functional and manual testing, you will review and validate new features, enhancements, and system updates to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and performance of software that directly impacts order accuracy, delivery execution, warranty processes, and overall customer satisfaction in a high‑volume, multi‑location environment. You will collaborate closely with developers and product managers to design and execute comprehensive test scripts, review test automation results, and help deliver robust solutions that drive operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Demonstrated experience in manual software testing, preferably within a multi-domain or enterprise environment.
• Experience testing IBM i (AS/400) applications, including green-screen and system integrations.
• Experience with test case writing and execution, including positive, negative, and edge case testing.
• Proficiency in SQL for data validation and test support.
• Familiarity with test automation frameworks and tools; ability to review and analyze automation results.
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), QA methodologies, and best practices.
• Analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with multiple developers and product managers across teams and business units.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with test automation frameworks and tools; ability to review and analyze automation results.
• Experience with Gherkin scripting, Java, TestNG, BrowserStack, and AI-generated test cases.
• Experience in the automotive industry

Responsibilities

• Review requirements, user stories, and specifications for new features, enhancements, and system updates across multiple business domains, including IBMi-based systems, to determine testing scope and objectives.
• Design, author, and execute detailed manual test scripts and test cases to verify software functionality, usability, and performance.
• Conduct functional, regression, integration, positive, negative, and edge case testing on new and existing applications, including legacy IBMi applications and modern integrated platforms.
• Write and maintain comprehensive test cases; review and analyze test automation results to ensure quality standards are met.
• Utilize SQL for data validation and test support, including validating data with IBMi/DB2 environments.
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to clarify requirements, ensure thorough test coverage, and support agile development processes.
• Participate in test planning, review, and status meetings; contribute to the development of test strategies and process improvements.
• Document and communicate test results, defects, and issues clearly to development and product management teams; track issues through resolution.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of test artifacts, ensuring adherence to QA best practices and standards.
• Adapt to diverse systems and workflows, supporting quality assurance across multiple business areas.
