Join our team. #CloroxIsThePlace Your role at Clorox: QA technicians are responsible for verifying the quality of our product, monitoring the effectiveness of our processes, managing non-conformances, and conducting internal audits. They are expected to drive continual improvement of product quality and regulatory compliance. Personal development through formal training and collaborative work with co-workers is essential for success of this position. This position is considered a safety-sensitive position, meaning, a lapse of attention could adversely affect the safety of others by resulting in injury, illness, or death, including without limitation a position that includes the operating, repairing, maintaining, or monitoring of heavy equipment, machinery, or operation motorized vehicle.

Requirements

  • 1 years' experience in food manufacturing quality control or
  • 3 years' experience in manufacturing quality control or
  • 5 years' experience in food manufacturing
  • Fluent in English communications. (Verbal, Written, Reading)
  • Proficient in algebraic math.
  • Proficient with computer software and data entry.
  • GED / high school diploma with one of the following:
  • 1 year experience in a food manufacturing quality control role or
  • 3 years experience in a manufacturing quality control role or
  • 5 years experience in food manufacturing
  • Completion of a minimum of one level skill blocks signed off.
  • Must be in "good standing" with the company, any written warning or above are not eligible to apply.
  • Must have the ability to work on the Day shift during the training period. Shift hours will vary

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science (Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Sciences)
  • Ability to present results and quality initiatives to an audience of 5-15 individuals.
  • Proficient in statical process control.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certificate.
  • Familiarity with FDA regulations.
  • Experience with LDMS

Responsibilities

  • Verify packaging, product quality, and manufacturing processes.
  • Perform testing on finished product samples and Work-in-progress (WIP) samples
  • Review and confirm accuracy of line monitoring records.
  • Conduct regular Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) inspections.
  • Identify areas for improvement and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with front-line associates to promote Food Safety and GMP awareness.
  • Continuously seek and implement best practices to strengthen Food Safety and GMP culture.
  • Submit quality metrics to leadership, including:
  • Product mean and Cpk values for torques, net content, labels, pH, TA, ATP.
  • Process completion and failure rates.
  • Perform GMP and internal process audits across manufacturing functions:
  • Ordering
  • Receiving
  • Storage
  • Blending
  • Processing
  • Packaging
  • Shipping
