About The Position

Summary: As a Quality Inspector you are an essential part of helping Entegris be part of the Future of Innovation! The Quality Inspector will be responsible for performing a wide variety of inspections, including checks and measurements for quality control for the manufacturing of products. You will need to be familiar with performing part measurem ents and comparing the results to a known standard to ensure strict customer requirements.

Requirements

  • Previous quality/inspector roles in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Experience navigating SAP and Quality systems preferred
  • Skilled using a variety of measurement equipment including calipers, pin gage set, height gage, test indicator, micrometer, pitch micrometer, dial indicator, surface plate, optical comparator, smart scope, coordinate measuring machine (CMM) , and vision systems ( i.e. Keyence)
  • Good oral and written communication skills , ability to work with cross functional teams
  • P roficient with excel, technical training in blueprint reading, willingness to learn, thorough, detailed oriented , open to feedback

Responsibilities

  • Approve incoming materials, in process production, and finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting unacceptable materials; creating quality notification for non-conformances.
  • Communicate discrepancies to production supervisor and help determine next steps.
  • Document inspection results by completing reports and logs; inputting data into quality database .
  • Conduct process audits.
  • Keep measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calling for repairs as needed.
  • Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures , and complying with legal regulations.
  • Understand and appl y statistical process control techniques, including basic chart interpretation and capability analysis .
