About The Position

To measure material, components, tooling or assemblies for conformance with established specifications, drawings and quality standards.

Requirements

• Understanding of Metrology with experience preferred.
• Experience with Excel required.
• Candidate must be able to read and interpret blueprints as the position requires.

Responsibilities

• Completes first article inspection on tooling, gauging, check fixtures, production parts, product development parts, and/or component parts or materials as requested.
• Completes ISIR requests with ballooning software for Engineering Department/Product Management for first articles, capability studies, TTO’s and ISIR.
• Programs CMM computer for fixturing and inspection of parts for capability studies on parts.
• Utilizes CMM for layout inspection and scanning technology.
• Completes capability studies on CMM, surface plate, or comparator as requested.
• Keeps Supervisor informed of metrology matters which require immediate action or attention.
• Maintains work in a cleared and orderly condition to minimize safety hazards and lost-time accidents and follows established safety procedures and policies at all times.
• Maintains/cleans Metrology lab equipment such as CMM, Comparator and gages
• Attend project meetings as requested.
• This position supports the continual improvement and compliance of QMS and EMS.
