About The Position

On floor QA personnel overseeing and guiding all QA functions, issues, and performances, and working as a point person for QA Manager. Completes all documentation relevant to programs including auditing all SSOP, HACCP and SQF related processes to ensure compliance to programs. In addition to performing all QA technician responsibilities, the QA supervisor performs all QA trainings, and directs QA technicians in corrective actions and processes. QA supervisor is the primary communicator between QA and all other departments. This position manages the safety programs QA is involved in during evening shifts. The QA supervisor will act as liaison between all other departments. The QA supervisor will be the dedicated employee for all technical training on new equipment and will be responsible for working with mechanics and production personnel in trouble shooting solutions when issues arise on second and third shift. The QA supervisor will be responsible for all GMP and Food Safety trainings needing to be performed on both second and third shift.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Requires minimum of 5 years of experience
  • On-the-job training a minimum of 1 Year
  • Basic data entry, simple formatting of documents and creates basic templates.; Excel, Word, Outlook

Nice To Haves

  • Ideal candidate will possess 5+ years food manufacturing experience
  • Good knowledge of the Food Manufacturing Industry and of Quality Assurance methodologies.
  • Experience with USDA & FDA requirements

  • Ability to train technicians and production personnel on SQF, HACCP, regulatory requirements, and specific job skills

Responsibilities

  • Monitor production personnel to ensure that a consistent quality product is being manufactured.
  • Monitor production personnel to ensure that quality product is being manufactured consistent with established standards.
  • Support SQF program.
  • Participate in GMP audits for KPI metrics.
  • Assist with document failures and ensure that mechanical personnel are notified of any equipment failures.
  • Perform process check throughout the production, filling, package integrity and labels checks, net weight checks, organoleptic checks.
  • Monitor HACCP critical control points.
  • Calibrate test equipment.
  • Drive factory GMP Standards
  • Assist with the Food Safety Training Program.
  • Lead QA technicians on first and second shift
  • Train both QA and production employees on all QA related trainings, including job specific trainings for proper equipment usage and calibration
  • Responsible for QA and food safety related decision making on these shifts
  • Responsible for writing and communicating Corrective actions
  • Conducting daily meetings between production filling and packaging to discuss any priorities or issues that should be communicated between departments
  • Assist in completing consumer complaints
  • Assist and accompany USDA inspectors on walkthrough
  • Additional responsibilities as needed.
