About The Position

Rite-Solutions, Inc., is seeking a skilled and motivated Quality Assurance (QA) Control Specialist to support the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Code 34 Periscope & Imaging In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA). Position Description: This position will support the NUWC Code 34 Imaging ISEA Northeast Regional Repair Center (NERRC) and Submarine Imaging Sensor (SIS) National Maintenance Center (NMC) by providing process development support and daily monitoring of work conducted under the Quality Management System (QMS). The QA Control Specialist is responsible for ensuring that work on production projects conforms to all quality assurance specifications and QMS guidelines. The selected individual will provide quality control, verification and validation, system quality conformance review, formal work package review, and final administrative package review prior to release of deliverable products. Applicant must be a US Navy QA Program Subject Matter Expert (SME).

Requirements

  • Must possess a thorough understanding of the US Navy QA program requirements.
  • Exceptional organizational & critical thinking skills, as well as an unwavering attention to detail required
  • Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), meet deadlines, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment required.
  • Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, to all levels of the customer organization required.
  • Intermediate-to-expert proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required
  • US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret-level security clearance with the US Government required
  • Active DoD Security Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field and/or related experience to perform the requirements of the job
  • Former Naval Quality Maintenance Program qualified, PQS 304 or higher.
  • SUBSAFE/Level-I QA process control experience.
  • Maintenance and operational experience with Electronic Warfare (EW) & Imaging Systems.
  • Experience and expertise in the ISO 9000 series processes and methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Enforce an effective QA program that meets all the requirements of the Submarine Safety Requirements Manual, the QMS Manual, and other authority guidance.
  • Ensure that all QA forms, test documents, instructions, and any other form of Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) requiring initials, signatures or any other verifiable form or acknowledgement of completion are done so in accordance with all applicable manuals, instructions, and other higher-level authority requirements.
  • Collaborate with the NERRC Planner as necessary to review and finalize technical work documents such as Maintenance Procedures (MPs) and Formal Work Packages (FWPs).
  • Work with the Project Team to identify and determine conformance/non-conformance of the work accomplished or material/products received.
  • Identify areas for improvement and recommend changes to the Quality Program to enhance safety, quality, and production efficiency.
  • Resolve issues proactively, collaborating with project subject matter experts (SME) and customers to maintain product quality and delivery schedules.
  • Participate in quality audits or surveillances as assigned.
  • Retain relevant administration data, correspondence, audits, etc.
  • Provide written and oral quality control reports to the Quality Assurance Manager or Project Manager (PM).
  • Keep abreast of policy guidance and updates.
