About The Position

As the Quality Assurance Manager , you are responsible for managing and enhancing the Food Safety and Quality Assurance programs for Noodles & Company’s supply chain and unit restaurants, including both corporate and franchise locations. Your primary focus is maintaining and continuously improving programs such as HACCP, crisis management, food safety audits (supplier and restaurant), product specifications, and nutritional analysis of all menu items. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum five years of professional experience in the food industry.
  • Strong working knowledge of HACCP, auditing principles, and process control.
  • Experience with food manufacturing and a working understanding of chemical, physical, nutritional, and microbiological properties of food products
  • Highly organized, solution-oriented, results-driven, detail-oriented, flexible, and able to prioritize to meet objectives and deadlines.
  • Ability to multitask between analytical duties and guest service/relationship building.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of building solid, professional internal and external relationships.
  • Proficient with computers, including email, Internet, and MS Office products.
  • Ability to work independently and analyze business needs.
  • Must be able to maintain confidential and proprietary information.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment.
  • This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days per week in our Support Office in Broomfield, Colorado.
  • We’re seeking candidates who either reside locally or are open to relocating.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, implementation, and enforcement of all company strategies, processes, and procedures related to food safety in restaurants and with Supply Chain Partners.
  • Use guest service feedback to address quality issues related to guests and restaurants.
  • Monitor food safety regulations at federal, state, and local levels to ensure compliance at all restaurants, both company-owned and franchised.
  • Monitor and stay updated on regulatory changes related to food labeling, nutritional disclosure, etc., to ensure compliance across all restaurants.
  • Regulate any food safety threats that may affect guests, including foodborne illness outbreaks, product recalls, and other food safety concerns.
  • Lead the execution of any necessary field product holds/recalls/retrievals, including communication with restaurants and consumers.
  • Participate in various project teams, providing QA technical expertise and guidance, especially in culinary and menu development.
  • Ensure all published nutritional, allergen, and food labeling information is thorough and accurate.
  • Manage and continuously improve the third-party restaurant food safety audit program, ensuring clear and actionable findings.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Training to develop procedures to address any recurring issues.
  • Perform site audits of key partner facilities to ensure the safety of all purchased products.
  • Lead the qualification process for new Supply Chain Partners, ensuring adherence to Noodles & Company guidelines and the safety of incoming food ingredients.
  • Actively participate in regular business reviews with key Supply Chain Partners to address product quality, food safety, and customer service-related issues.
  • Manage continuous improvement activities with key partners related to product quality, sanitation, etc.
  • Manage and improve uniform standards for pest control and oversee the pest control system.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve a comprehensive specifications library and testing process to ensure long-term adherence to Noodles & Company specifications and expectations.
