About The Position

The Quality Assurance Lead plays a vital role in supporting, maintaining and enhancing the Quality Assurance department throughout the facility and manufacturing process. This individual works as a support to shop employees to uphold SilencerCo's high standard for quality and durability, and assists to help others uphold this same high standard. They will coordinate and work with other departments to ensure that applicable and measurable standards exist and are followed. If proper standards do not exist at that time, they will work with the necessary department and Engineering group to establish those standards. The position must have leadership and time management skills and the ability to be fully cross-functional throughout all of the Quality Assurance department.

Requirements

  • 3 years of manufacturing, quality assurance, or experience in related fields
  • High school diploma required
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as-needed

  • Six Sigma Experience Preferred
  • Self motivated, must be able to work independently with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

  • Ability to work with employees across all levels including planning, R&D, Maintenance, Supply Chain, AME, QA, and Human Resources
  • Train employees in the proper use of equipment, enforce safety regulations, assign tasks, and oversee employees' work
  • Comply with safe work practices; understanding work injury procedures, workers comp, and OSHA standards
  • Provide support to the shop floor to uphold SilencerCo's quality standards of all products.
  • Ensuring correct tools and gages are available and calibrated for use within the department.
  • Skill verify operators that use our metrology to adhere to standards.
  • Complete daily standard work sequence in order to drive our KPI's
  • Schedule and execute QA spot checks on suppressors and accessories, summarizing findings monthly and escalating non-conformances.
  • Review the in-process inspection data regularly for anomalies.
  • Support with any EET runs to determine process capability
  • Work closely with Quality Manager to close any gaps in standards
  • Interpreting international standards and specifications such as: International Standards Organization (ISO), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP's)
  • Teach and live the culture we desire using the Value Improvement Process Results
