About The Position

Come join a growing financial technology company that’s leading the marketplace in both the marketing and servicing of credit cards! Continental Finance Company specializes in credit card options for those consumers with less than perfect credit. We are seeking a Quality Assurance intern to support our tech team. Continental Finance Company interns get real-life exposure to the daily duties of the department. They spend the summer as a valued member of their respective team, learning business skills and assisting with a variety of projects that have an impact on the business operations. An additional focus of the program will be to complete a final project that will be an overview of activities, tasks and experiences throughout the 10-week program.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in and working towards an undergraduate in Business, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, or Computer Science
  • Available to work 40 hours/week (hybrid) for 10 weeks: June 2nd- August 6th, 2026
  • Currently enrolled in 4-year accredited university
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communications
  • Demonstrated skills in the use of Microsoft Office applications
  • Understanding of general software development concepts and SQL
  • Ability to communicate effectively both with non-technical business users and the technical engineering team
  • Strong customer service aptitude
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

  • Execute assigned QA projects and tasks under the guidance of a mentor
  • Prepare and submit weekly status reports summarizing testing activities, progress, and deliverables
  • Meet regularly with a mentor to review project status, test results, and address questions
  • Support the department and organization by contributing innovative ideas, process improvements, and an external perspective
  • Assist with documenting and refining business and functional requirements, including user stories, to support test planning
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and development teams to understand requirements and define quality expectations
  • Support software testing efforts by creating, executing, and maintaining test cases; validating functionality against requirements; and identifying and documenting defects
  • Perform system analysis on existing applications to support test coverage and integration of new requirements
  • Participate in active projects, collaborate with the development team, and gain hands-on exposure to multiple phases of the software development lifecycle
