About The Position

Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Quality Inspector B (Warehouse) to join our Quality Assurance Team in Columbus, Mississippi. The Quality Inspector B assures compliance with Airbus Helicopters Inc. policies and procedures and FAA regulations. In this role, you will assure high quality standards by inspecting and approving incoming/shipping materials through established incoming processes while recording quality inspection results. This is a first shift opportunity, however, could move to a second shift opportunity in the future. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a warehouse/supply chain environment in any of the following fields; Manufacturing, Production Certificate Holder, Repair Station, Airlines or related Military service
  • US Person under ITAR definition (U.S. Citizen, green card holder or person covered under our existing ITAR license)
  • Ability to interpret technical and regulatory documentation
  • Familiar with inspection tools, aids and devices used in determining tolerances and specification limits
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of personnel

Nice To Haves

  • Associates Degree in aviation or industry related
  • 5 years of experience in a warehouse/supply chain environment as a Quality Inspector in any of the following fields; Manufacturing, Production Certificate Holder, Repair Station, Airlines or related Military service
  • Valid FAA Airframe & Power Plant Certificate

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and receive incoming material, (i.e. new parts, supplies and repaired parts from vendors). Ensure proper tagging, identification, and airworthiness of parts related to Airframe, Engines, and Accessories. Detect and report suspected unapproved parts, file FAA form 8120-11 as required.
  • Perform conformity inspections for Supplemental Type Certificated (STC) development projects, parts manufacturer approval (PMA) parts, structural and electrical components.
  • Compares quantity, part number, and serial numbers of items received with procurement data as well as other specifications to ensure the accuracy and completeness of order.
  • For all incoming material that is non-conforming, rejects unacceptable materials.
  • Audit quality procedures and maintenance forms used during maintenance activities to assure compliance with approved methods, current data, and regulatory requirements.
  • Inspect and approve/reject manufactured parts and assemblies for installation, customer purchase, and Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) projects.
  • Inspects and approves incoming materials by confirming and validating specifications, requirements, and demands utilizing a visual means of inspection.
  • Validate disposition of parts or repaired parts routed to shop floor, from warehouse, internal shops and vendors for conformity and serviceability in accordance with approved data.
  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following company standards and procedures
  • Adherence to Company time-keeping policies
