About The Position

For Quality Assurance Engineer/Inspector: Seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to perform receipt inspection of materials and equipment arriving at the Port Arthur facility. The role involves ensuring all incoming materials and equipment comply with project requirements, manufacturer specifications, and applicable standards. The ideal candidate will have expertise in SAP Quality Management (QM) Module, Positive Material Identification (PMI), dimensional measurements, and document reviews, including Manufacturer's Data Books (MDBs), Material Test Certificates (MTCs), and inspection/test records. For Project Quality Lead: The Project Quality Lead will be responsible for setting Expectations, establishing the GP Quality Management System as the system for executing larger projects, gaining team approvals, and communicating quality expectations to project team and contracted partners, review and approval of request for quotes, contracting language, final quality plans to meet those expectations, and coordinating shop inspections plans well into field execution, with field verification of work from contractor quality control. Quality Assurance may have contracted team based direct reports thru phases of this term.

Requirements

  • Hands on PMI experience
  • SAP Quality Module (QM) Experience
  • Quality role in warehouse experience
  • Calipers, measurement tools, etc.
  • Ability to read MTRs, MRB
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in receipt inspection or quality control in the oil and gas, LNG, or manufacturing industry.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP Quality Management (QM) Module is essential.
  • Experience with mechanical and piping materials, valves, and rotating equipment inspection
  • Proficient in the use of measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) for dimensional inspections.
  • Strong knowledge of material specifications, testing standards, and document review processes.
  • Experience reviewing Manufacturer's Data Books (MDBs), Material Test Certificates (MTCs), and related inspection/test documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP QM Module.

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications in Welding, Coating, and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) are highly desirable.
  • Certification in Positive Material Identification (PMI) or equivalent experience is considered an asset.
