Quality Assurance Eng 2 - Inspection Planning in GAC Savannah Unique Skills: This position requires a self-motivated individual to fulfill responsibilities including Quality review of work planning documents, potential training and education of other Quality reviewers, and strict maintenance of Quality principles in complex manufacturing planning reviews. The ideal candidate will possess a solid Quality foundation with an emphasis on planning, configuration management, and inspection coupled with problem-solving skills and high levels of technical competency. Initiative, assertiveness, and strong written and verbal communication skills are some of the key attributes of a successful candidate. The applicant must be demonstrably proficient in one or more of the following areas: Manufacturing Planning Quality Inspection Planning Work Package Audit and Review Configuration Management / Control Highly Desired Attributes: Experience in Quality Assurance, Manufacturing/Planning, or related roles Experience with Gulfstream electronic systems (SAP, Solumina, SmarTeam, AIR, Catia) Familiarity with engineering change implementation process Familiarity with FAI and Conformity inspection requirements Working knowledge of 14 CFR regulations for production under PC Experience with: Quality Control Inspection Planning OR Familiarity with Aircraft Manufacture and Assembly OR Experience with Quality Management Systems and Control Education and experience Requirements Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, aviation sciences, quality systems or related technical field required or an equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 2 years quality assurance/control, manufacturing operations and/or military operations experience is required.. Aerospace industry experience preferred.. Position Purpose : A Quality Assurance Engineer II develops and maintains optimum methods of controlling quality and/or reliability of product or service in assigned areas such as: statistical methods, tooling and gaging, inspection methods, and program planning. Responsible for providing technical support in the conduct of investigations on known Quality issues. Implements plans and instructions in support of departmental policies. The QAE will work to determine Root cause and corrective action for known Quality issues using the 8D methodology and validated by the audit group. Ensures compliance with all applicable regulations and develops and promotes a good working relationship with local regulatory authorities. Ensures a safe, conforming and quality product is delivered to our customers.
