About The Position

QUALITY ASSURANCE RN COORDINATOR We are seeking a Quality Assurance RN Coordinator , also referred to as a Performance Improvement Nurse Coordinator or Stroke Program Nurse Coordinator . Quality Assurance RN Coordinator for our Performance Improvement and Stroke Program monitors and improves stroke care quality by analyzing data, ensuring compliance with standards, and leading initiatives to enhance patient outcomes. Quality Assurance RN Coordinator collaborate s with clinical teams, provide staff education, and support corrective actions to maintain high standards of care. Requirements

  • Current and valid state RN License required.
  • Bachelor Degree preferred
  • Five years clinical experience in a multidisciplinary health care setting which includes a minimum of two years of inpatient Performance Improvement/Quality Assurance experience preferred.
  • Experience in reviewing charts for quality care issues.
  • Detail oriented organizational skills. Must be able to handle multiple cases, directions and follow-through.
  • Good communication skills both verbally and written.
  • Certified professional in healthcare quality preferred.
  • EMR experience and Computer skills required

Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with the manager/director of Performance Improvement, the PI Coordinator RN is responsible for assisting in the coordination, integration, and implementation of the organization wide performance improvement activities to ensure compliance with company policies and state/federal regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Activities include but are not limited to integrity reliability review, medical chart reviews, data abstraction for CMS Core Measures and other quality outcomes studies, employing evidence-based practice; integrating best research with expertise & patient values for optimal care; working in interdisciplinary teams; application of performance improvement methodologies to minimize waste, decrease errors, increase efficiency and ultimately improve care and appropriate utilization of informatics to communicate, manage knowledge with clinical expertise and patient values for optimal care.
  • Educates staff regarding core measures and updates regarding new and enhance indicators.
  • Collaborates with multidisciplinary team on problem identification and resolution, cost containment issues, implementation of new services and systems/ performance measures.
