Under general direction from the Quality Manager, and in accordance with applicable policies and procedures, the Quality Assurance Associate is responsible for auditing all processes and products.

Requirements

  • Minimum High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience with quality assurance and/or quality control required.
  • Ability to read, communicate and comprehend written and verbal procedures and instructions in English.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in assembly or manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Audit manufacturing processes, lab testing processes and health & safety requirements
  • Perform visual inspection of each product checking parts and assemblies to ensure that each product meets all standards of presentation and quality in a timely fashion.
  • Maintain current knowledge of product specifications and work instructions.
  • Perform visual inspection of incoming materials, checking materials for conformity to standards, color, quantity, defects.
  • Keep records as needed of quality audits & inspections, defects, repairs, or other documentation as needed for quality purposes.
  • Work with Production Associates and Production Leads to ensure product & processes conform to specifications.
  • Complete tasks and execute the audit work program as assigned to meet the objectives, scope and timing of an engagement. Execute multiple engagements and/or tasks concurrently to ensure timely completion.
  • Communication - Support the development of clear and concise verbal and written reports or updates that articulate to a broad range of people the benefit of the audit activity or support effective risk management and continuous improvement.
  • Participate and contribute to development and continuous improvement in work instructions, training, quality line audits and lean processes.
  • Follow all prescribed safety and housekeeping guidelines.
  • Report audits and inspection results to supervisors and quality leader verbally & document findings using a computer and/or tablet.
  • Initiate and/or make suggestions to improve the documented procedures.
