Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services, business, or related field required.
  • Able to demonstrate through either education or combination of education and more than 3 years of professional experience in one or a combination of the following: quality assurance, policy/program analysis, auditing, staff training, or performance tracking against targeted goals.
  • Experience analyzing systems, identifying systematic weaknesses, recommending quality improvement strategies and assisting with the implementation of concrete solutions to enhance agency and program performance.
  • Experience developing policies, procedures, or desk aids based on programmatic guidance and organizational/business standards.
  • Demonstrated ability with analyzing data, compiling reports, and presenting findings in a clear manner. Must possess strong attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects at one time and meet hard deadlines.
  • Strong written and oral communication ability and attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to use and maintain knowledge of technology and related applications, including Microsoft 365, to analyze data, prepare reports, communicate efficiently and create effective learning tools and materials.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and insurance.
  • Able to travel and work irregular hours.

Responsibilities

  • Review and coordinate leadership team review of Department of Labor (DOL) and Association of Farmworker Opportunities Programs (AFOP) program policy and guidance.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of UMOS NFJP Manual, including policy and standard operating procedures (SOP). Update based on changes in DOL policy and systems.
  • In coordination with the QA Director, develop and implement a comprehensive staff training plan and curriculum on NFJP policies and procedures, including creating and maintaining training materials and desk aids.
  • Provide individual and group training and technical assistance to newly hired and existing staff to ensure understanding, knowledge retention, and learning for comprehension of program policy and agency SOPs.
  • Maintain an electronic repository of all policy and training documents, checklists, tools, etc. Ensure repository and staff training materials are accessible, up-to-date, and/or purged as necessary.
  • Implement process to evaluate training effectiveness and use evaluation results to advance continuous improvement of trainings.
  • Conduct program quality assurance audits and data validation and present findings to NFJP management team.
  • Track and analyze performance data and use it to identify performance or compliance “threats” and for the development of prevention measures/practices.
  • Work with various departments, including accounting, human resources, and information technology to address identified deficiencies and assist in developing improvements as they relate to program performance, outcomes and overall compliance.
  • Recognize and adapt to various learning styles and modify training based on individual needs, including the use of various technologies.
  • Assist with preparation of correspondence and reports in response to UMOS administrative team and funding source requests.
  • Assist with the preparation of grant applications.
  • Attend all necessary internal and external meetings, training, and conferences, and perform other duties as assigned.
