About The Position

The Quality Assurance Analyst ensures the accuracy, reliability, performance, and regulatory integrity of the company’s EHR product suite. This role is responsible for creating and executing structured test cases, validating complex clinical and operational workflows, performing end-to-end data integrity checks, and managing the full defect lifecycle. The QA Analyst works collaboratively with Product Owners, Engineering teams, and fellow QA staff to ensure high-quality releases that support safe, effective care delivery for behavioral health organizations. This full-time position requires strong analytical thinking, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to build test cases based on EHR workflows. The ideal candidate has experience in functional manual testing, healthcare or EHR systems, and working in an Agile development environment. This position is remote and based in the United States. The salary range is $60,000 - $100,000, DOE. Employment visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Health Informatics, or a related field, and 2-5 years’ experience in software quality assurance with a strong background in manual functional testing; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Solid understanding of QA methodologies, test case design, and defect management.
  • Ability to independently document and execute test suites and manage testing timelines according to project needs.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic to intermediate SQL knowledge for validating backend data integrity (or ability to grow in this area).
  • Exposure to Azure DevOps and Microsoft office tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including interaction with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, completeness, and reproducibility.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Understanding of healthcare workflows or ability to learn domain-specific concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and execute detailed test cases, including preconditions, test steps, and expected results.
  • Review functional requirements, user stories, and technical documentation to determine optimal test coverage.
  • Perform functional, regression, workflow, and end-to-end testing across multiple EHR modules.
  • Validate accuracy and coherence of cross-module data, including demographics, clinical assessments, encounters, medications, labs, billing data, and documentation workflows.
  • Identify, log, reproduce, and track defects using Azure DevOps, ensuring consistent and accurate documentation.
  • Conduct compliance testing with healthcare regulatory and security standards (HIPAA, HL7)
  • Conduct defect re-testing, verification, and provide final validation for closure.
  • Conduct release readiness validation and support UAT with internal stakeholders or clinical users.
  • Participate in test planning, sprint grooming, and release readiness activities.
  • Analyze test outcomes, identify risks or gaps, and propose process improvement recommendations.
  • Assist in defining test data needs and maintain reusable data sets that support various testing scenarios.
  • Prepare QA execution reports summarizing test progress, defect metrics, and coverage completeness.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across geographies, including Product, Engineering, Support, and SMEs.
  • Contribute to the continuous enhancement of QA standards, methodologies, and templates.
